Deputy Chairman
I have lived in Hightown since 1982 and have brought up my children in the village.
I am retired from Banking and administration having worked for Barclays Bank for 25 years and then for a hospital in both finance and administration.
When I retired I turned to volunteering and as well as being part of the Parish Council, I am involved in many village groups - a member of the Gardening Club committee, the Hightown Village Singers, the Wednesday Group and also on the Hightown Festival Committee. Our Alt Centre is a community hub and also houses our Community Library set up and run by myself.
I am passionate about Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and instigated the crisp packet collection point at the Post Office, the first of hopefully many more recycling collections for our village.
I love doing quizzes and cooking and love being part of a warm, caring and welcoming village community.
Councillor
I have lived in Hightown for fourteen years with my wife and two teenage daughters. In total I have fifteen family members living in the village, some of which have lived here for over forty years. I am delighted to be part of the Parish council and look forward to supporting initiatives that help protect and improve our fantastic community.
My work life means I travel extensively leading a global team of commercial and technical specialists for an international technology business. We work with companies and Governments on the implementation of Track & Trace and brand protection projects. I also advise on global legislative initiatives including the pan European traceability scheme for prescribed medicines.
I am passionate about cycling, skiing, and cooking. I am a big of the Hightown club, love our newly refurbished Pub and believe we live in a very special place.
